SS7 ISUP-User Adaptation Layer (ISUA)


Overview:-

This is the SS7 ISUP-User Adaptation Layer (ISUA) component of the OpenSS7 SIGTRAN stack. This component implements the ISUA functions in a STREAMS multiplexing driver.

The ISUA STREAMS driver provides the Call Control Interface (CCI).

The ISUA STREAMS driver supports I_LINK and I_PLINK of Call Control Interface (CCI) streams providing SS7 ISUP under the driver (SG operation). It also supports I_LINK and I_PLINK of Transport Provider Interface (TPI) streams providing Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) or other transport under the driver.


History:- The ISUA component was started in January 2002.

Status:- The ISUA component of the OpenSS7 stack is in the Coding stage.

Dependencies:- This component depends on the SS7 ISUP Call Control Interace (CCI) and Transport Provider Interface (TPI) access to the Stream Control Transmission Protoocl (SCTP) or other transports.

Release Package:-

The SS7 ISUP-User Adaptation Layer (ISUA) is an integral part of the OpenSS7 STREAMS SIGTRAN stack and provides redunancy to the OpenSS7 STREAMS SS7 stack. It can be found in the isua sub-directory in the strss7 release code.
