SS7 MTP2-User Adaptation Layer (M2UA)
This Internet Draft defines a protocol for backhauling of SS7 MTP2
User signalling messages over IP using the Stream Control Transmission
Protocol (SCTP). This protocol would be used between a Signalling
Gateway (SG) and Media Gateway Controller (MGC). It is assumed that
the SG receives SS7 signalling over a standard SS7 interface using the
SS7 Message Transfer Part (MTP) to provide transport. The Signalling
Gateway would act as a Signalling Link Terminal.

Test Specification for MTP2 User Adaptation
This document presents the test specification for M2UA (MTP2 User
Adaptation) prototcol (ver 03), which can be used to test M2UA
implementations for conformance to the protocol definition. The list
of test is exhaustive and covers almost all the categories of test.
This draft can also be used in conjunction with M2UA specification by
implementor of protocol as implementors guide, as the pictorial
representation of various scenarios help easy understanding of the
protocol.
